In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
